Summary:
Sara Crewe, the pampered daughter of a British officer, is deposited in a boarding school when he goes off to war. But her life is turned topsy-turvy when her father is reported dead. Now penniless and a charity case, Sara is made a servant and cruelly mistreated by the school's owner.
