Summary:
Smith's one-woman play presents a compelling view of urban racial and class conflict. Using interwoven monologues based on verbatim interviews, Smith assumes the personalities of nearly 30 characters caught in the 1991 racial turmoil in Crown Heights, Brooklyn following the death of an African-American child and the stabbing of a 29 year old Hasidic rabbinical student.
