Summary:
In a Lao village, a woman is killed during a burglary; she is given a funeral and everyone in the village sees her body burned. But three days later she is back in her house as if she never died-and now she can speak to the dead. Lao national coroner Dr. Siri Paiboun and his wife, Madame Daeng, are sent to supervise the excavation. Siri becomes obsessed with the pretty medium's abilities, but Madame Daeng doesn't trust the woman.
