Summary:
A tribute to Arturo Toscanini made right after the Allied liberation of Italy. In this studio concert, Toscanini conducts the NBC Symphony in music by Verdi to celebrate the liberation. Musical excerpts include the overture to La Forza del Destino and Hymn of the Nations. This is the only authorized film ever made of Toscanini and was nominated for an Academy Award, Best Documentary-Short Subject, 1944.
