System of Ghosts examines the ways infrastructure and technology relate to loss and isolation in everyday life. These poems examine how environments structure experience and how we seek out information within these spaces. Isolation from the natural world affects people both at a systemic and personal level and loss of environment speaks to the power of connections--connections to the landscape, to the power of infrastructure, and connections to other people. My research focuses on the negative space in that connection, and on how we use technology and built environments to create and combat loss.
