Summary:
Contemporary dancers perform (on stage and in the studio) excerpts from dances by African-American choreographer Donald McKayle. Includes excerpts from: Rainbow round my shoulder, Heartbeats, Saturday's child, District Storyville, They called her Moses, House of tears, Minstrel man, and Libertango. The "special features" section includes two complete performances of Angelitos Negroes, one by Marceline Freeman and the other by Tamica Washington, plus an interview with Donald McKayle by Della Reese.
