In his "political interventions," from Une Nouvelle région du monde (2006) to La Terre, le feu, l'eau et les vents : An Anthology of the Poetry of the Whole World (2010), Glissant captures the eventful not without telling the limpid reality of the Whole World through the updating of his opaque theories conceptualized in his early landmark writings such as Le Discours antillais (1981), Poetics of Relation (1990) and Introduction to a Poetics of the Diverse (1996). Glissant invites humanity, or rather the humanities, to distance itself from any systems thinking defined and governed globally by globalization, a subtle variant of neoliberal capitalism. Without imposing any single model, he proposes Relation and Mundiality as alternatives allowing any being of the world to go to the meeting of the other to change and exchange with him or her "without getting lost". Ensuring a true inclusive and equitable visibility at all levels, these possibilities are ways of living present and future in harmony with the world that is unpredictably creolizing day by day.-- $c Translation of page 4 of cover. 546 $a In French. 504 $a Includes bibliographical references (pages 141-148) and index. 505 00 $g 4. 600 10 $a Glissant, EÌdouard, $d 1928-2011 $x Criticism and interpretation. 600 17 $a Glissant, EÌdouard, $d 1928-2011. $2 fast $0 (OCoLC)fst01760269 650 0 $a Politics and literature $z Martinique. 650 0 $a Politics in literature. 650 7 $a Postcolonialism. $2 fast $0 (OCoLC)fst01073032 650 7 $a Political and social views. $2 fast $0 (OCoLC)fst01353986 650 7 $a Philosophy. $2 fast $0 (OCoLC)fst01060777 650 7 $a Globalization. $2 fast $0 (OCoLC)fst00943532 655 7 $a Criticism, interpretation, etc. $2 fast $0 (OCoLC)fst01411635 655 7 $a Literary criticism. $2 lcgft 830 0 $a Lettres et langues (Connaissances et savoirs (Firm)). $p Collection LitteÌratures non-occidentales. $p Collection LitteÌratures non-occidentales. 941 $a 1 952 $l OVUX522 $d 20231117032507.0 956 $a http://locator.silo.lib.ia.us/search.cgi?index_0=id&term_0=D750167EEE0211ECABFB385646ECA4DBInitiate Another SILO Locator Search
