"Four young Malaysian directors pool their talents for an anthology of bone-chilling horror. The interwoven stories are set in cosmopolitan Kuala Lumpur during the Chinese Hungry Ghost Festival when it's believed that the gates of purgatory open, and the hungry ghosts are released to walk among the living. Low Ngai Yuen's '1413' is a tale of a teenage suicide pact gone awry. In 'Waiting for them,' James Lee follows the misadventures of two friends who let a ghost come between them. In 'Nodding scoop,' by Ng Tian Hann, a filmmaker shoots a bizarre ritual in which the participants conjure up a spirit with knowledge of the future.
