Summary:
Earth's resources are almost depleted and the planet is terribly overcrowded. A family is launched into space to colonize Alpha Prime, the only other known inhabitable planet, 10 years away. After their ship is sabotaged by a stowaway doctor on board, the Robinson family must work together to reach their destination, or Earth's only hope for survival is gone.
