This series features a wealth of information on legislation dealing with a broad range of Native American issues and key legal cases on land and water rights, constitutional issues, and other important legal precedents. The program initiatives in areas such as health, education, and tribal self-determination, as well as the minutes, correspondence, and other materials included in these files, provide insight into the Association's efforts from conception to execution; the internal and external environment in which it worked; and the efforts of the men and women who led the struggle to champion Native American interests in dealing with the federal government.
