Summary:
A metaphysical artist in his early years, Giorgio de Chirico's idiosyncratic, symbolic style had a powerful influence on 20th-century art, and in particular, on Surrealism. This new biography shows how he later went center stage as creator of the famous "manichino" figure, the faceless tailor's dummy.
