Summary:
A historical drama that retraces the story of the Normandie-Niemen Regiment, a fighter squadron of the French Air Force during World War II. After the armistice of 1940, some French pilots, refusing captivity, decide to reach Russia in order to continue the fight against Hitler's Germany alonside the Soviet allies. From this escape to the first aerial battles over Russia, these pilots were considered deserters at first, but were welcomed as heroes two years later.
