Summary:
A two-part series that examines the challenges and benfits of educational mainstreaming for children with mental disabilities. The first film follows Peter Gwazdauskas, a Down syndrome child who has always attended special schools, through his first year in a regular classroom. The second film follows Peter in sixth grade, eighth grade and high school. Includes interviews with Peter's parents, teachers, fellow students, aids and doctors.
