Summary:
Blackboard jungle: Urban drama about an idealistic teacher in a slum area who fights doggedly to connect with his unruly students. Based on Evan Hunter's novel. Edge of the city: If you need a job Charlie Malik can find a spot for you in the dockside railyards. All he needs in return is that you show up on time, work hard, and kick back part of your pay. Two New York City longshoremen, Axel Nordmann, and Army deserter, and Tommy Tyler, an easy-going freight car loader, join forces a corrupt New York waterfront union official. The two share bond that cuts across society's black/white divide. Something of value: When the Mau Maus spread violence and terror throughout British East Africa in an effort to sweep the British from the land, families on both sides are shattered, and two young men who wanted only to live in peace and mutual respect must confront their destinies. A patch of blue: A blind white woman falls in love with a black man, much to the consternation of her racist mother.
