Summary:
In Children of Shatila, documentary fimmaker Mai Masri focuses on the lives of two Palestinian children: Farah--age 11 and Issa--age 12. Given video cameras, they tell us of their pasts and show us the realities of their daily lives. Out of these personal narratives evolves the story of the Shatila camp. Through their images and words, Fara and Issa articulate the feeligns and hopes of the camp's young generation.
Frontiers of dreams and fears traces the delicate friendship that evolves between two Palestinian girls: Mona, a resident of the economically marginalized Beirut refugee camp and Manar, and occupant of Bethlehem's Al-Dheisha camp under Israeli control. The two girls begin and continue their relationship through letters until they are finally given the opportunity to meet at the border during the Israely withdrawl from South Lebanon. When the intifada suddently erupts around them, both girls face heart-breaking changes in their lives.
