For thirty years, Charlie and Donna Barton have run The Bridge, a bookstore providing the people of middle Tennessee with coffee, conversation, and shelves of good books. But with sagging sales and an inventory destroyed by historic flooding, the store is about to be closed by the bank. Despondent, Charlie considers the unthinkable when a miracle unfolds.
