J'ai lu ; 8809. An autobiographical novel written to exorcise the pain by reinventing the story and transforming it. Written in the third person, it tells of the physical pain and the distress that are the companions of anorexia.
Summary:
Laure is 19 years old and anorexic. In hospital, in the final stage of her illness, she gradually comes to understand how she got there. "Jours sans faim" tells of three months in hospital, three months to bring back some life into this empty body, three months to yield, to recover.
