Summary:
In 1913, the Oáhu Sugar Company built a tunnel and pipe system totalling 27 miles from the Koólau mountains to the Éwa plain for irrigation during the height of the sugar industry boom. The water diversion severely affected subsistence farming and marine life on the Windward side of the island. This film tells the story of the effort to restore streams and the communities which depend on them.
