In New York City, anxious parents-to-be Elizabeth and Kevin Moore are counting the seconds down to their blessed event. Suddenly, Elizabeth's contractions stop completely - thanks, of course, to Milo's decision not to be born. Meanwhile, Elmore, a soul in limbo who becomes Milo's Guardian Angel, agrees to take Milo to Earth so the boy can see what it is like to be a human life for one day. Elmore has 24 hours to convince the boy to say he wants to be born. If successful, Elmore's reward is that he gets to once again become human. If he is not successful, the "Big Door" will be closed forever, sealing the fate of humanity by stopping all future births.
