Summary:
A British journalist living in Hong Kong, falls in love with a local bartender and former prostitute. She waits for her boss to marry her, but he proves to be too indecisive. She then turns to the admiring journalist, who has found out he has leukemia. They give into their feelings and have a brief but passionate affair, all set agaist the backdrop of the hand over of Hong Kong by the British to main land China.
