Summary:
500 miles off the coast of Mexico and 2 miles below the ocean surface, on a quest to unlock the mysteries of underwater volcanoes, the film crew of a research submarine, shoots video footage that reveals how the ocean floor canyons that make up the mid-ocean ridge were, and are still, being formed. Also introduces viewers to lifeforms that survive in the extremely hot, highly toxic environment around thermal vents.
