Summary:
Daniel Miller was tooling along a Los Angeles boulevard listening to Barbra Streisand sing "Something's Coming" when something came - a bus. One head-on crash later, Daniel wakes up deceased. And finds his troubles are just beginning. Stage and screen favorite Meryl Streep joins writer/director/star Brooks for a witty, highly acclaimed peek at the afterlife. Make that a laughterlife whose comforts include eating all you want and not gaining an ounce. Alas, there's a catch: you're also saddled with Defending Your Life. If you can't make a case for having lived a full and fearless one, you must go back to Earth and try again. But Daniel, whose life was far from fearless, doesn't want to go back. Not after he meets Julia, a remarkable woman who's going places a lot more evolved than L.A.
