Summary:
Durbin plays Kim Walker, an ambitious actress who hatches a plot to get on Broadway--and gets more than she bargained for. The beautiful amateur beguiles the great John Sheridan (Laughton) into giving her the lead in his new play, despite the objecton of the writer, Paul Taylor (Franchot Tone).
