Summary:
Shows the conflict produced by the James Bay development scheme between a hunting culture of Cree Indians and the dominant white culture that has come to rely heavily on large-scale technology. This is a glimpse of an adaptation by the Indians that continue to change and an up-close look at the Cree culture as a film crew joins three families as they build a lodge, hunt, trap, prepare food and skins and live together in the bush.
