The fascinating biographical story takes us from his childhood in Harlem to his growing up in Jamaica, Queens, discovering his artistic talents in theatre as a teenager and flourishing as a writer, theatre, movie, and music artist, to his young adulthood and the creation of one of New York City's historic performing art theatres.
