Summary:
"This film centers largely on German artist Joseph Beuys hypothesis that Dutch light lost its extraordinary radiance after the reclamation of large parts of the Zuyder Zee in the mid-1950's. Artists, art historians and scientists share their personal and often contradictory views in an attempt to answer some of the questions surrounding the myth of Dutch light. It was filmed over a 12 month period on location in the Netherlands, Provence and the Painted Desert in Arizona"--Accompanying guide.
