Summary:
Mangal is forced to steal food to keep from starving. He is imprisoned, and when he is scheduled to be hanged he escapes with the help of the underworld. On the run from the police, he ends up in a remote village where he thinks he cannot be identified. He becomes a school teacher, who is highly regarded by his students. However, his luck is running out as the police are closing in on him.
