On invitation from a family's old friend, reporter Bailey Weggins leaves Manhattan for a free weekend of pampering at the Cedar Inn in rural Massachussetts. Upon her arrival she discovers a corpse wrapped in a treatment room. Soon she finds herself chasing clues across the country, and the possibility that the next victim might be herself.
