The book was designed and produced in San Francisco by the staff -- Brian Ferrett, Megan Gibes, Chris Godek, Jeff Raymond, Blake Riley, and Rochelle Youk -- with assistance from Sarah Lariviere and Hanna Yee. The typeface is Spectrum, handset and in Monotype composition. The type has been printed by letterpress and the photographs in duotone by offset lithography on 90 GSM Magnani cream laid. The edition is limited to 150 copies for sale and twenty-six lettered copies hors commerce. An additional thirty copies and five printer's proofs are bound in a deluxe edition and accompanied by a photographic print of a sea stone not included in the book. Copies of the book and the extra print are signed by translator and artist."--Colophon.
