Summary:
Alva Starr is the town's reigning beauty and leading flirt. Owen Legate has stopped by to make the town of Dodson, Mississippi, sleepier by laying off most of the town's railroad workers. Naturally, Alva and Owen fall in love but fate meets its match in Alva's mother, a jealous boyfriend, and a town full of angry railroad men.
