Summary:
When an unusual rock with a cylinder inside is found in the Gobi Desert, scientists determine its origin as the planet Venus. A crew of astronauts is sent there to learn more. Meanwhile experts attempt to decode the message that was encoded on the spool within and determine why Venus is utterly silent.
