Sanford Meisner is relatively unknown in Europe though his acting training has had wide influence in the United States, particularly in acting for cinema. Scott Williams was a student of Meisner's at the Neighbourhood Playhouse School of the Theater in New York and here introduces a group of actors to one of the most important and central exercises in this training.
