Summary:
Fighting caravans: An outlaw convinces a wagon-trail girl to pose as his wife. True romance develops as they head west. A farewell to arms: Catherine Barkley and Lt. Frederic Henry meet on the Italian front during World War I and fall in love. Meet John Doe: A tramp is hoaxed into protesting against existing social evils as a newspaper circulation stunt. He becomes a national hero, and discovers the plot to use him. Stolen jools: Norma Shearer's jewelry is stolen at a Hollywood party attended by the most famous stars of 1931, including Joan Crawford, Laurel and Hardy, Gabby Hayes, Buster Keaton, Maurice Chevalier, Irene Dunne, and many others.
