Summary:
Callie & son: Forced out of poverty to relinquish her unnamed child to a lawyer for adoption, Callie, a 17-year-old unwed mother, travels to Dallas to seek out a new life. After meeting and marrying wealthy newspaper baron Randall Bordeaux, she finds herself moving amongst the elite of Dallas society and when she can never have other children, she resolves to find the child she was forced to give up long ago. Power, passion, & murder: When a studio head in 1930's Hollywood who dictates the futures of aspiring stars falls from power, the dreams of wanna-bes and has-beens are shattered.
