Summary:
Based on a true incident during World War I, the film relates the story of a French infantry regiment ordered to attack an impregnable German position, then accused of cowardice when the attack fails. To salve their general's wounded vanity, three soldiers are selected at random to stand trial and are then summarily executed. Includes the original theatrical trailer.
