Summary:
A musical retelling of the life, and death, of Eva Perón, a woman who rose from childhood poverty and prostitution to become the most beloved "leader" of her country. It includes the music video You Must Love Me (1996) featuring Madonna, the documentary The Making of Evita (1996, 43 min.) / Cadiz Films in association with Cinergi/Dirty Hands;
(Cont.) produced by John Edwards; directed by Edward J. Adcock. As well as excerpts from an Argentine travel log/educational film; a Time magazine article from July 14, 1947, supplemented with contemporaneous archival footage; a New Yorker essay from June 26, 1948 titled A Reporter in Argentina: Love, Love, Love, by Philip Hamburger, also supplemented with contemporaneous photos; a photo gallery; and newsreel footage of the Peróns while in power and of the funeral.
